Location

Lakesskor Bazaar, Chatok, Sylhet, Bangladesh

Background

4 families who reside in a remote village had no easy access to clean water. These families had to travel half a mile to a nearby village to consume fresh water. This was challenging and near impossible during the monsoon season. A tube well would have meant that the need to travel would be eliminated. It would also have meant that the families, especially women, could bathe in privacy. Other benefits include washing clothes dishes etc. These families rely on charity to survive.

Outcome

After a campaign to provide the families with a tube well a donor stepped forward to cover the full cost of the project.

Work on the tubewell started on the 22nd June 2018 and completed 3rd  October 2018.
